Darlene Ruth Jensen, 92 years old, died at the Gilchrist Hospice Center, Columbia, MD on January 7, 2018.
She was born on October 21, 1925 to Birdeva and Walter Hinke of Welton, IA.
She was a 48 year resident of Laurel, an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, a resident of Parkview Senior Apartments, and a resident at Cherry Lane Nursing Center.
She trained as a stenographer, was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed caring for children and became like a 2nd Grandmother to the Rumsey children. When she retired, she became the custodian for Our Savior Lutheran Church, and enjoyed her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Malinowski, her granddaughter Kim Malinowski, and son-in-law Lawrence Malinowski. She has two sisters, Norma Heneke of Delmar, IA. and Phyllis Camiliere of Schaumburg,IL.
Visitation and viewing will be at 10:30 am at Our Savior Lutheran Church of Laurel Maryland with a service at 11 am on Saturday 13 January 2018.
