Darnel F. Eugene

We are gathered here today to remember and honor the passing of Darnel Frederic Eugene. On December 27th, Darnel passed away in his sleep and returned to the Lord.

The suddenness of this unexpected passing is a pain that has been hard to come to terms with. On December 25th Darnel had celebrated his 33rd birthday surrounded by the ones he loved, smiling, laughing, and recollecting past experiences.

Darnel came to the United States with his mother in 1998, and found himself in a new land surrounded by strange people. But, with his bright smile and personality he was quick to make friends and adapt to his new environment.

He was a lover of all things athletics. He was a member of his high schools basketball and baseball team, and enjoyed swimming, playing football, and loved soccer as well. In his time at school he received several trophies for his athletiscism, skill, and teamwork.

When he wasn’t busy working or being a good father he enjoyed hanging out with friends, watching football games, and playing video games.

He is survived by four beautiful children; Darnel Frederic Eugene Jr(6), Davyyon Tyrell Eugene(1), Danyhel Renee Powers(4), and Daieer Percy Abdul Eugene(est. 02/06). The fiancé and mother of his children, Tyquesha Monique Powers, his mother and father, Simone and Jean, his aunt and uncle, Reynald and Ketly Laguerre, his uncle, Sexnel Jean-Francois and his family; Solange, and her family, Michael, and his family, Stephanie, and her family, Yves-Fred, and his family, and Shirley, and her family. His aunt, Jeannette and her children; Marie Louise(cousin), Yves Tataye(godfather),  Mirline Jean(cousin) and her family.  His siblings; Daphney Frederique, Yasmine Frederique, Jean Eddie Frederique Jr, Stephanie Frederique, Naomie Frederique, Melissa Frederique, and Handy Frederique. As well as family friends, Jenevieve Dumorne and family, Annette Gue and family, and Maryse Decolin and family.

Services after the funeral will be held at the house of Simone Eugene. There we will gather to remember the life and times of Darnel and recollect on all of the blessings and memories he brought into our lives.
