David Irwin Brand

David Irwin Brand, 72, a resident of Laurel passed away on November 29, 2014 at Patuxent River Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on August 19, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Erasmus Hall High School in New York in 1960, then earned his Ph.D from Brooklyn College, The City University of New York. David retired from the Department of Health and Human Services as a Public Health Analyst. He later began a career as a Real Estate Agent and worked for Weichert and Long & Foster. He loved playing chess, cards and watching all sports.
He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years Dinora G. Brand; children Lester and Harold Ortiz; and grandchildren Harold, Monica, Nicole, and Audrey. He is also survived by his good friends Maggie Carrera and Connie Otto.
