David Painter

Ralph “David” Painter, of Laurel, Maryland, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025. He was 63 years old. David was born on October 13, 1961, in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he grew up working on his family’s farm, and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. David Painter was the son of Ralph and Josephine Painter.

David worked for the Department of Defense and loved spending time with his dogs. He was a hunter safety instructor, and ham radio operator. He enjoyed history, Bluegrass music, and working with electronics. David was a Freemason and an active member of the Laurel Lodge.

David is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Kimberly Painter; son, Gary Painter; devoted sister, Denise Edmonds; loving niece, Ashley O’Dell.

A viewing will be held at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. - 313 Talbott Ave (Route 198 W) Laurel, Maryland 20707 on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm. There will be a brief Masonic service beginning at 7:00 pm.

David will be dearly missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.
