Deborah Tabb Jackson

Deborah Tabb Jackson was born on September 16, 1958 in Williamsburg VA to George and Rebecca Tabb Sr. Deborah attended Williamsburg/James City County Public Schools.  She married Alfred Jackson and out of that union they had three daughters: Danita, Savannah and Crystal. Thereafter came five grandchildren: Jasmine, Janae, Jakobi, Cameron and Jaelyn.

On Saturday, March 4, 2017 Deborah became absent from the body to be present with the Lord. “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. “Yes’” says the Spirit, ‘They will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.” (Rev. 14:13).

For the past 15 years she served in her passion as an advocate for people living with disabilities. At the time of her death, she was employed at Independence Now, Inc., in Silver Spring MD as the Director of Independent Living Services.

Deborah has six surviving siblings: Lindell (John) Hicks of Newport News, VA; Naomi (Mathew, deceased) Flythe of Williamsburg, VA; Ivan(Charlotte) Tabb Sr. of Toano, VA; Anne (Hilton)Rodgers of Petersburg, VA; Joyce Tabb of Gaithersburg, MD and Jacquelyn (David) Jones of Newport News, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including her lifelong best friend, Beatrice Randall Casado. One brother, George Tabb Jr. preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Deborah will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at her home church, Cross Creek Apostolic Church, 12511 Old Gunpowder Spur Road, Beltsville MD 20705. Donaldson Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the family.
