Deborah A. (Licausi) Barb

Deborah Ann Barb (LiCausi), a long time resident of the Laurel area, died Wednesday October 19, 2016 at Fernbrook Manor assisted living home with her son Christopher, daughter Jennifer and cousin Elizabeth by her side.  After a 3.5 year battle against cancer she is finally at peace and pain free.

Deborah was a beloved mother of Christopher B. Barb and Jennifer J. Barb-Smith;  loving grandmother of Aleesia Barb, Gianna Bernhardt, Ashlyn and Ethan Smith; dear brother of Michael LiCausi; devoted cousin of Elizabeth Bryan. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Deborah devoted her life as a single mother to her two children Christopher and Jennifer.  She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland and continued her education with graduate work also in Psychology, while caring for her two young children.

Deborah was a hands-on grandma and her smile lit up a room when she spoke of her grandchildren.  She was like a second mom to her grand-daughter Ashlyn.  Debbie loved to go to the movies, she loved a good cup of coffee, she loved to blast her music in her car with the windows down, she loved time with family, she loved her friends and was always in great spirits.  Debbie was a busy body and did not like to sit still for too long.  She was a good hearted person and always wanted to help anyone who needed it.  Debbie will be missed dearly by her two children and grandchildren and by her friends and family.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Donaldson Funeral Home, PA. 313 Talbott Avenue Laurel, Maryland 20707 on Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm where services will be held in the Chapel on Sunday at 1 pm. Cremation services to follow will be private. In lieu of flowers the family request's contributions can be made in memory of Deborah Barb at My Sister's Place Women's Center,  justgive.org/DeborahBarb
