Devin suffered with Cerebral Palsy.  He spent weeks at a time in hospitals throughout his life.  Through all of his medical issues, Devin remained a happy, fun loving person, who always made everyone laugh.    He loved school and everyone at school.  He did not judge, but accepted everyone, no matter what race or religion.  If you met Devin, he instantly became your friend.  He loved Meade High School and his teacher, Ms. Diaz, the health room staff, Ms. Janette and all who helped to care for Devin while in school.  They would even come to his home and send singing videos to his home. He was an honor roll student for many years.

His mom, Lucille (Booter) loved him and for nearly 20 years gave him unconditional love and support.  He was always happy and laughing.  He loved his younger brother, Bernard Dickey III (Bo), and they would laugh and talk to each other, especially while playing video games.

His second mom was his Aunt Deanna Collins (Binky).  They would play and Devin would give her kisses and hugs. Every week they would go to Chick Fil A where Devin became close friends with the staff, especially Richard and Walleed.   They presented Devin with a Chick Fil A jacket a few weeks ago.

He loved his grandparents, Jim (Pap) and Marlene Collins (Dee) and Brenda (Mom mom) and Mike Nardone (special name).  Devin would call every day and let us know how his day went.  He especially loved his cousins Taylor and Brooke.  He also loved Rusty Phillips singing to him and a great friend, Bernard Dicky, Sr., who always had activities for Devin.

He participated in Special Olympics at school and received numerous medals for his achievements.

He also loved going to Sunset Beach with Pap and Dee and going to Mom mom’s home in Ocean City.

Devin loved his many (to many to name) cousins, aunts and uncles.  He loved everyone!!!

We know he is with our Lord Jesus Christ and the many family members who have passed before him.  Our hearts know that he is free from pain, from the many restrictions that he faced and dealt with due to his medical issues.  Regardless of how bad Devin may have felt, he never let that show – instead, he gave us all his unconditional love!!!
