Don Maurice Fansler, born August 23rd 1923 in Mathias, West VA, passed away on March 19th, 2015 at Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville, MD.
Don is preceded in death by his parents Mary Tacy Shamburg and Robert Marchant Fansler, his wife Katherine Mae Webster, son Jeffrey, brothers David and Winfred (Eva) and sister Jean Markley (Melvin). Surviving are his sons, James (Rosezella), Danny and Robert (Wanda), and daughter in law Karen, 7 grandchildren, Jimmy (Jana), Dave (Maggie), Scott, Becky, (Michael), Russel (Jessica), Cory (Sarah) and Katy (Matt). 8 great-grandchildren, Jesse, Katelyn, Hannah, Kaden, Kyleigh, Colton, Kendal and Addison, 1 great-great-grandchild Bailie, sister in laws Betty and Evelyn and many nieces and nephews.
Don worked in the construction industry most of his life. He retired in 1988 and is a member of Local 77. Don and his family resided in Laurel MD. since the 1960’s. Don enjoyed his Grandkids, gardening, hunting, baseball, his dogs and going home to West VA.
