Donald Warner Gates

Donald Warner Gates, 74, a resident of Greenbackville, VA was born on November 13, 1937 and departed this life on July 14, 2012.
He lived most of his life in Maryland, until 2006, when he moved to Virginia. Mr. Gates served in the US Air Force from 1959 until 1963. Mr. Gates worked for the Food & Drug Administration in Beltsville, MD until his retirement in May 1995.
Mr. Gates was truly blessed. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Lou Gates, beloved sister, Norma Gates and brother, Walter Gates. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Donald Gates, Jr. and daughter Cindy Lou Curtice, Grandchildren Megan Gates, Emily Carmona, Bryan Smith, Chad Curtice, Great-Grandson Gideon Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church of Savage, 9050 Baltimore Street, Savage, MD 20763 on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 1 pm.
