Donald F. Valdivia

Donald Valdivia, a beloved husband and father, peacefully passed away on January 6th, 2024. Born on September 28th, 1949, his enduring kindness and generosity touched countless lives, creating cherished memories through family trips, laughter-filled summer days, and unwavering love. His presence added warmth and joy to every moment. He had previously resided in Columbia, Maryland, and worked for the State of Maryland in Annapolis. He was married to his wife, Joyce, for over 30 years.

He recently fulfilled his daughter Melissa's dream wedding, walking her down the aisle and sharing a beautiful father-daughter dance at The Cloisters, a historic venue resembling a castle, symbolizing their profound connection and fairy tale bond. Besides spending time with family, Donald loved taking walks with his beloved dog, Alvin, kayaking with his daughter, Melissa, watching her sing karaoke, and lounging at the community pool near Ocean City, Maryland.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Valdivia, his daughters Melissa Valdivia and Mary F. Valdivia, his new son-in-law Jeffrey Young, his stepson Brandon Lee, and other loved ones. May Donald Valdivia rest in eternal peace. His memory will forever reside in our hearts.
