Doris Ann (Mundy) Chism

Doris Ann Chism (age 86) of Laurel, Maryland, passed away on February 1, 2023.    She is survived by daughter Lisa Marie Wolfe (Patrick), granddaughters Laura R. Baugher and Kayla M. Tippett, sister Pat Rudd, and four great grandchildren.  She is predeceased by husband James B. Chism, sister Elaine Defur, daughter Elaine Marie Pilecki and granddaughter Sarah Marie Tippett.  Doris and Jim had been married for 67 years at the time of his passing in October 2022.

Doris was born in Jasper, IN, and later married James (Jim) Chism on April 14, 1955 in Huntingburg, IN.  They moved to Laurel, MD, where they raised their daughters Elaine and Lisa.  Doris had been a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Laurel, MD, and more recently Resurrection Catholic Church in Burtonsville, MD.  Doris was always involved in her church, but her life was also centered on their daughters, later being blessed with granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
