Doris Ann Rebish

Doris Ann Rebish, 89, passed away at her home in Bowie, Maryland, on Friday, November 1, 2024.  She was a resident of Lothian for many years and relocated to Bowie to live with her niece, Debbie Herbert.

Doris was born February 19, 1935, in West Virginia to John and Thelma Bowers. She was married to the love of her life, Frank, for many years before his passing in 2007.  She is predeceased by her sisters:  Wanda Blanch and Darlene Davis.   Doris was a beloved Aunt, dear to many nieces and nephews, as well as a Great Aunt and Great Great Aunt to several.   She was affectionately known to relatives and friends of relatives as Aunt Doris.

Doris loved spending her free time playing bingo and pull tab games, completing word search puzzles, playing cards and going to the casino to visit the slot machines.  She also enjoyed getting pampered with monthly appointments to get her hair done, manicures and pedicures.

It would always bring joy to Doris when someone was eager to learn sign language to be able to communicate with her, a few gestures would bring a big smile to her face as it bridged the communication gap for her.

Doris was very kind, caring, and always made everyone feel welcome. She will be missed by many but has left so many great memories in our hearts.

a visitation will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. , 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD, at 12:00 pm, with a funeral service at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow at the Laurel Elks Lodge, 8261 Brock Bridge Road, Laurel, MD, at 3:00 pm.  The burial will be held at Southern Memorial Gardens, 10155 Ward Road, Dunkirk, MD, Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 12:00 pm, for immediate family.
