Doug Roberts

Douglas William Roberts, age 54, passed away in Washington DC on Wednesday, May 17th, 2023.

Born September 28th, 1968, in Silver Spring, MD, Son of Mary Halweg Iski and Charles Iski, brother of Joe Roberts, Renee Heim Rey, Perry (Scooter) Roberts, and the late Billie Jo Breeden. Doug lived in Arnold, MD and worked at Verizon as an Auto Technician until retiring in 2018. He later worked at Chesapeake Charter as a Bus driver.

Doug, otherwise known as LitlDougy, could be described as a cheer dad, baton dad, deli groupie, girl dad extraordinaire, and an overall fun-loving character. His funky outfits and his weird jokes always made people smile and laugh. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend. His optimism was infectious, and he will be sorely missed.

Doug is survived by his wife Karen, daughters Alex and Callie and dog Ollie. Doug was preceded in death by his father Charles Iski.

Services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday May 25th, day at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. at 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD, 20707. Burial will be at Union Cemetery at 3001 Spencerville Rd, Burtonsville, 20866 following the service. Relatives and friends are welcome at Donaldson’s Funeral Home for Visitation Hours from 11-1pm.
