Douglas Mark Dawson

Douglas Mark Dawson of Ellicott City, Maryland passed away on February 25, 2025. He was 78 years old. Born on January 21, 1947, in New York City, Doug went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in computer science and then a master’s degree in music. He was also a career contractor for the Department of Defense.

Doug loved jazz music, sports cars, writing short stories, and pepperoni pizza. He was a member of the Corvette Club, as well as a published author. In addition to his personal interests and accomplishments, Doug leaves behind many friends who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced; in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in honor of Doug.
