Douglas Riddick Vance

Douglas Riddick Vance, age 73, passed away in Sykesville Maryland on November 2nd 2025. Born December 5, 1951 in Washington DC. Son of Lewis Gilbert and Nancy Riddick Vance. He lived in Washington DC area his entire life. Doug was proceeded in death by his parents, sister Diane, and nephew James “Jimbo.” Doug was survived by brother James (Denise) sister Catherine (Wes) nephews Matt (Vonessa), Nick, Chris, Brandon, Collin (Jen), Evan (Kia), Lauren (Jonathan), Allison (Donnell), Jason and many other great nieces and nephews. Doug was an electrician by trade and worked at RICA for 24 years where he retired. He enjoyed the beach, was an avid music collector, and an excellent photographer. Doug loved his family and his nephews and nieces meant the world to him.
