Edward Ross Ronemus , 71, of Laurel, MD passed away on September 8, 2013 at Washington Adventist Hospital. He has been a Laurel resident since 1980. He was born on July 16, 1942 in Washington, D.C. He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1960. He played golf at the Bowie Golf and Country Club and enjoyed his classic car group, The Church of the Holy Donut. The group would meet every Sunday in Burtonsville. He would also meet on Wednesdays with other car friends at 3 brothers in Laurel. He worked in Sales and Distributing for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife of 27 years Tommie Ronemus; children Dawn, Butch, Todd (Kim), Carrie (Mike), and Debi (Bryan); sisters Darlene (Jack), Kathy (Linda), Gina, Cheryll (Bill), Patti (Mark), and Pam (Paul); 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces , nephews, brothers-in-law Sam and Scott and a sisters-in-law Cathy and JoAnn. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Bud and Connie Halfpap.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 11:30 am at St. Mary of the Mills Catholic Church, 114 St. Mary's Place, Laurel, MD 20707. Memorial donations may be made at Casey Cares Foundation, 3918 Vero Road, Suite C, Baltimore, MD 21227, or online at
