Edith Ann Fowler Walsh, 83, of Silver Spring, MD, passed away of Alzheimer's disease on July 15, 2020, with her family at her side. Edith was born in Washington, DC to James and Dorothy Fowler. Edith was raised in Brookmont, MD and attended Bethesda Chevy Chase High School.
Edith married James Walsh in Raleigh, NC. She began raising her family shortly after, and later began working at the Army Map Service. Edith retired as an executive secretary for the Entomology Department at the University of Maryland at College Park. Edith was a member of Wallace Memorial Church.
Edith is survived by her husband, James Walsh; sisters Betty Grenville and Dorothy Sansalone; her three children Randy Walsh, Bill (Donna) Walsh, Sharon (Gary) Bonadies; six grandchildren, RandiLynn Richard, Heather Walsh, Nichole Walsh, Brian Bonadies, Stephanie Bonadies and Danielle Bonadies; plus six great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
