Edward Leo Mchugh

Edward Leo McHugh "Ed", age 85, passed away in Laurel, MD on January 16, 2022.

Born March 10, 1936 in Baltimore City, Maryland, son of Edward McHugh and Phoebe (McMullen) McHugh. Ed lived in Washington, DC and attending college at Mt. St. Mary's College.

Ed was a prolific tennis player instructor. He enjoyed sharing his lifelong love of tennis with students young and old. He worked as a tennis instructor at a tennis school in Annapolis, MD until retiring.

As a hobby, he loved visiting Ocean City, MD and reading biographies. He was also a lifelong fan of Johnny Unitas and the Colts/Ravens Football Team.

Ed is survived by three children: Jonathan (Elaine), Sally (Mark) and Julie (Bob); seven grandchildren: Emily, Julia, Jack, Matty, Nick, Conor and Amanda; brother, Jimmy (Cassandra) and sister, Maureen.

In addition to his parents, Ed is preceded in death by two sisters: Phoebe and Joan.
