Eileen Mary Rothenberg

Eileen Mary Rothenberg, age 84, of Laurel, MD, died Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Hillhaven Nursing Center in Adelphi, MD.

She was born on August 15, 1929 and was the daughter of Patrick Lenihan (deceased) and Margaret Lenihan (deceased).

Eileen was born and raised in New York and received her Nursing Degree while working at Kings County Hospital. She moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1951 after marrying he husband, the late Edward Rothenberg. In 1960, Eileen and her husband relocated to Silver Spring, MD where she stayed until relocating to Laurel, MD in 1978.

While living in MD, Eileen worked at Holy Cross Hospital, various Doctor's offices and the Hospital for Sick Children.

Eileen is survived by her children; Denise Erdle, Peggy O'Connor, Kelly Slack, Chris Rothenberg and Paul Rothenberg. She was the sister of Patricia Lenihan. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is is predeceased by her husband, parents and her Brother Joseph Lenihan.

Arrangements are being handled by Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD Funeral service will be at St. Nicholas Catholic Church at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 14, 2014. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD
