Elger J. Huber, Sr., 87, a longtime resident of Laurel and southern Howard County, died January 16, 2012 at the Howard County General Hospital, surrounded by family.
Born July 26, 1924 in Baltimore, he moved to North Laurel in the 1940's. He was employed by the B & O Railroad and , for 34 years as a stationary engineer for Maryland Glass Corp. In semi-retirement, he was a school bus driver in Howard County.
Mr. Huber was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Lillian Huber. He is survived by his son , El (Judy); daughters Robin Marton (Robert) and Dawn Bancroft (David); grandchildren Jeffrey Huber, Tracy Waller, Kevin Huber, Adam Marton, Patrick Marton, Julianne Meagher, Erin Ali, and Megan Bancroft, and 11 great-grandchildren.
