Elizabeth Jean Otte

Elizabeth Jean Otte, age 101, passed away at her home in Silver Spring, MD on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

Born November 2, 1922 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, daughter of Walter and Elizabeth Garwood Wade.  She lived in Laurel, Maryland and Silver Spring, Maryland.  Jean was a member of Liberty Grove United Methodist Church.

Jean is survived by son Doug Otte (Stephanie), Hyattsville, MD; daughter Sue Otte (Ken), West Des Moines, IA; granddaughters Brooke Bond (Jason), England; Samantha Peters, West Des Moines; Devin Otte, Key West, Florida; and great-granddaughter Hazel Bond, and was preceded in death by her husband Edward Otte; and siblings Alma Tyler and Walter “Buddy” Wade.

Services will be held at 12pm noon on Thursday, December 14th 2023 at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. in Laurel, Maryland. Burial will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. Relatives and friends are welcome at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. at 11am for a visitation prior to the funeral service.
