Elsie Betty Lou (Soper) Whetzel

Elsie Betty Lou Whetzel, 84, a lifetime resident of the Laurel area, passed away on January 5, 2015 at Montgomery General Hospital. She was born on July 13, 1930 to the late Richard and Caroline Soper. Betty Lou grew up on a farm where she enjoyed farming, horses and her poodle dogs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Paul Edward Whetzel, Sr. and brother Warren Soper. She is survived by her 4 children Linda Lee Wilkerson, Sandra Ann Miles, Nancy Patricia Ferris, and Paul Edward Whetzel, Jr.; brother Donald Wiseman; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
