Elsie Aigner Margerum

Elsie Aigner Margerum, 92, of Laurel passed away on January 21, 2014 at Glen Hill Assisted Living in Dayton, MD. She was born on April 6, 1921 to the late Rudolph and Fosa Aiger in Richmond, VA. She moved to Laurel over 50 years ago and became a member of First Baptist Church of Laurel. She volunteered at her church, organizations that helped the homeless, ministries for women's prison, and visited shut-ins. She worked for JC Penney's and Peck Reality before her retirement over 35 years ago.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William D. Magerum, Sr. in 1984. She is survived by her sons Wayne Margerum and William D. Margerum, Jr. and his wife Teresa Anne; granddaughter Caroline Margerum; and great-grandson Curtis Brown. Memorial donations may be made to Laurel Advocacy and Referral Services, Inc.
