Erick Quintin Johnson

October 30, 1964 – August 15, 2026

Erick Quintin Johnson was a man who loved hard, laughed often, and would give what he could to help the people he cared about.

He was born in Washington, D.C., to Clyde and Delories Johnson. From childhood, family was always important to Erick. He grew into a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Erick met his beloved wife, Dina Vaughn Johnson, when he was only 19 years old. What started as young love became a lifetime of memories. Dina was the love of his life, and their love remained with him until the end.

He was blessed with two children, Brianna and Branden, and later with his grandson, Kannon, who held a very special place in his heart. Being a grandfather brought Erick a joy that will never be forgotten.

Erick’s life was not without struggles. He battled Stage 4 lung cancer and endured the heartbreaking loss of Dina in 2025. Yet through it all, he continued to love his family and make the most of the moments he was given.

On August 15, 2026, Erick peacefully passed away at home.

He leaves behind more than memories. He leaves behind pieces of himself—in his children, his grandson, his brother and sister, his nieces and nephews, his family, and the many people he helped and loved along the way.

His beloved Dina Vaughn Johnson, parents Clyde and Delories Johnson, aunt Pauline Wedge, sister-in-law Stacey Talley, and grandparents George Wedge, Mary Wedge, Ladd Johnson, and Mary Johnson.

Erick, your time here was precious, your love was real, and your memory will never fade.

You are finally at peace.

You are finally home.

And you will forever be loved.
