Eustace R. Harper

Eustace R. Harper, 82, a resident of Laurel for the past 17 years passed away on December 26, 2013 at Patuxent River Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on November 11, 1931 to the late Stanley and Cleo Harper in St. Michael, Barbados where he spent most of his life. He attended Poly Tech Institute and worked for Barbados Port Authority for 36 years. He then moved to Brooklyn, NY and worked as a Nurses Aid for Kings County Hospital for 10 years before his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Vashti Harper; daughter Rosita Husbands; siblings Grantley and Darnley Harper, and Phyllis Hall. He is survived by his loving children Trevor Harper, Earl Harper and Elizabeth Johnson; daughter-in-law Lynette Harper; brothers Hamilton and Sylvester Harper; sisters Maggie Denny and Vida Ramsey; grandchildren Mark Harper, Kelvin Husbands, Vashti, Adrian, Jermaine, and Garrett Harper, Jamal Johnson, and Donica and Alexandra Harper; 12 great-grandchildren; devoted nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends.
