Frances Ramona Astlin

Frances Astlin, age 82, of Edgewater, MD, died peacefully on December 27, 2013 with her family by her side at the Tate Hospice House in Linthicum, MD.
Born to the late Frank and Maggie Strickler of Staunton, VA, Frances married and started her own family in Maryland. Frances worked for the C&P Telephone Company for more than half of her career and went on to become a Telecommunications Specialist at the Vitro Corporation where she retired in 1994 following more than 20 years of service.
Frances is survived by her loving daughters, Diane Tinker, Deborah Smith, Patricia Boyer, son-in-law, David Boyer, grandchildren, Candy, James, Diana, Jennifer, Bryan, Sean, Priscilla, Crystal, Sam, and great-grandchildren, Carlie, Charlie, Brody, Kayla, and Cheyenne.
Her loving husband, Robert, sons Dennis and Robin, and her brother and sister preceded her in death.
Arrangements are being handled by Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A.; 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD where the family will receive friends on Friday, January 3 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral service will be at Donaldson Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 PM, Friday, January 3, 2014. Interment will be private.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
