Frances M. Soper

On November 7, 2018 r Frances Margaret Soper “Granny” went to be with the Lord at the age of 102 years old.

She was born September 3, 1916, in Highland County, Virginia to David Folks and Mary Corbett Folks.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Betty Joann Larkin and her husband of Virginia. Her son, David Allen Soper and his wife of Maryland.  Also her sister, Lucy Friedeman of Brentwood, Md.  She is also survived by her sisters-in-laws Thelma Folks and Wanda Folks.  She leaves behind four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Frances was predeceased by her mother, Mary and her father, David Folks and her brothers, Lee Folks, Donald Folks, Harvey Folks, Harry Folks, Samuel Folks, and Porter Folks.

Frances was devoted to her family and friends. She loved her flowers, gardening and making crafts. She also loved baking and getting together with her grandchildren at Christmastime to make cookies and lots of fun memories.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Donaldson's Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00.  Service will be Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at 11:00at Donaldson's Funeral Home. The interment will be held at George Washington Cemetery at 9500 Riggs Road, Adelphi, Maryland.
