Gail Bernhard

J. Gail Bernhard, 67, a lifelong resident of Laurel, died Saturday, December 3, 2016 after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). She was born in 1949 to Holton and Olive B. (Hanks) Merson in Riverdale, MD. She was a member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, Laurel. Gail graduated from the University of Maryland and received her Master’s degree from Loyola.
Gail is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Kerner and husband Kyle; Patricia Ames and husband William; Allison Williams and husband Keith; grandchildren Colton Ames, Easton Ames, and Quinn Kerner; three sisters, Carolyn McCool-Hensley and husband Gary; Patricia Fancovic and husband Stephen; Debra Mills; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James McCool, and brother-in-law, Glenn Mills II.
