Genevie R. Dick

Genevie R. Dick, age 94, of Savage, passed away Tuesday evening, November 26, 2019, peacefully at her home.

She was born October 26, 1925, in Savage, a daughter of the late Norman Smallwood and Louise Smallwood (Jones).

Genevie was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles Dick; five brothers, Cyril Smallwood, Norman Smallwood, Russell Smallwood, Roland Smallwood and Donald Smallwood; and one sister, Louisa Smallwood.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Savage, and a homemaker.  She enjoyed family trips to Ocean City and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Genevie is survived by two children, Charles W. Dick Jr. and Cathy Whitehead; three grandchildren Ryan Dick, Camela Ebaugh and Justin Whitehead; and six great grandchildren Aiden Ebaugh, Riley Ebaugh, Emily Dick, Hannah Dick, Hadley Ebaugh and Ryan Dick Jr. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2019, at the First Baptist Church of Savage, with Pastor Paul Viswasam and Pastor Alan Latham officiating. Burial will follow at the Savage Cemetery.

Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707.

Genevie’s family will serve as pallbearers.
