George Odus Klies

George O. Klies, Jr., 80 of Clarksville, MD passed away February 28, 2012

George was born on his parent's farm in Chandlersville, OH. Graduated from Ohio University (Athens) and served in the Army during the Korean War. After the Army he became an employee of the National Security Agency headquarters in Ft. Meade, MD. He retired as a Senior Executive of NSA in 1988.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sally F. Klies, loving father of Suzanne Klies of Laurel, MD, George O. Klies III of Clarksville, MD and Amy Nevius (Jerry) of Delaware, OH. Survived by his sister, Evangeline Jordan (William D. Sr.) of North Royalton, OH Brother, Charles Klies (Joan) of Chandlersville, OH. Also survived by his grandson, Parker Nevius , many nieces, nephews, cousins and his brother in law Larry Williams of New Lexington, OH.

Proceeded in death by his parents and one sister Marion Williams.

His hobbies included antiques, auctions, reading, crossword puzzles and especially enjoyed socializing with colleagues, family and friends.

Visitation and will be held at Thompson-Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls, OH on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Chandlersville Cemetery, Chandlersville, Ohio.
