Geraldine Eccard of Columbia, MD died peacefully after a brief illness and is lovingly survived by The Rev. Douglas Fox and his sons Neal and Joel Fox and family Darline, Caleb, Zen, Nyree Fox; Raphael Aguon, Katherine Shambaugh and Lillian Lehnert.
Geraldine is survived by her siblings, twin sister Erline Fogus, Charlotte Kendall, Elenora Poffenberger, and brother Nathan Eccard and many nieces and nephews.
Geraldine grew up in Mt. Lena, MD and worked for her parents, Claude and Bernice Eccard’s family fruit-farm and restaurant, The Appalachian Inn, before moving to Baltimore where she worked at Hochschild’s Department Store and Blue Cross BlueShield.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Old Otterbein United Methodist Church, Baltimore, MD where she has been a member for over 50 years, or to a charity of your choice.
