Gerard "Jerry" Ward

June 10, 1934 — July 8, 2018

Gerard “Jerry” Ward of Laurel, MD passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018.

Jerry was born in 1934 to James and Margaret Ward in Baltimore, MD.  He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus, and served in the United States Navy.  He retired from the local 26 IBEW as a master electrician after 60 years of service in 2001.  He was quite an athlete and enjoyed bowling, golfing, down hill skiing and was an outstanding wrestler for Mount Saint Joseph High School.

Jerry is survived by his wife Joyce Ann Ward, his daughters Elizabeth Garrett (David), Suzanne Ward (Ray), son Adam Miller (Nikki), daughter Cambria Clites (Steve), son Brandon Miller (Karen), brothers Jack Ward and James Ward, along with many loving nieces and nephews.  A smile was always brought to his face by his grandchildren, Rachel, Jennifer, Bodhi and Shiloh, Tierney and Nolan.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.  Also going before him was his precious daughter Angela, his brothers Francis, Ronald and sisters Mary Bernadette and Margaret.  I’m sure he was greeted in heaven with a lot of love, smiles and open arms.  He will be missed by so many who loved him but his love will live on in all of us.

A service to honor Jerry will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at noon at St. Mary of the Mills Catholic Church in Laurel, MD.  A celebration of his life will follow immediately afterwards.

Any donations of condolences can be made to Mount Saint Joseph High School, 4403 Frederick Ave, Baltimore, MD 21229.
