Gertrude D. Bauer of Laurel, MD passed away on July 20, 2016 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, MD. Gertrude was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 20, 1926 to the late Joseph and the late Margaret (nee Gregenda) Drab.
Gertrude moved to Washington, DC in the late 1940’s to find work and eventually to Laurel (Maryland City), MD in 1963. She loved gardening and reading. According to her family, “Her family was her life”.
Gertrude was the loving mother of Michael A. Bauer and his wife Kimberly, Jacquelyn A. Bauer and her wife Betsy Williams, Kevin J. Bauer and his wife Lauren, Connie M. Bauer and her partner Alice Lee Bean and Monica B. Moyer and her husband Rick. Gertrude is survived by her sister Loretta Snyder and Robert Drab. Gertrude is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and her sister in law, Catherine Gadbois. Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband Aloysius S. Bauer and her son Patrick A. Bauer. She is also survived by a lot of extended family and friends.
