Gladys Marie Cornell

Gladys Marie Cornell, age 93 of Laurel, Maryland died peacefully on June 11, 2023 surrounded by family.  She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Lancaster D. Cornell.  As well as her parents, Robert and Emma Curtin and siblings, Robert Curtin Jr, George F. Curtin, James Curtin, Dorothea Curtin Burke, and Mary Curtin Faust. She is survived by her youngest brother, William Curtin of Easton, Maryland and daughters Eileen M. Borst of Odenton, Maryland and Brenda D. Helwig (Frank) of Baltimore, Maryland, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gladys worked at Daugherty’s Pharmacy on Main Street for 15 years, followed by 25 years at Citizens Bank on Main Street from which she retired.

She loved animals and enjoyed reading, doing puzzle books, listening to old country music, and spending time with her family.

Services will be held privately for the family with internment at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville, Maryland.
