Glenna J. "Tootie" Lawson

Glenna J. Lawson, age 84, of Laurel, MD passed away on March 1, 2017 at The Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD.

Glenna was born on April 23, 1932 in Mullins, West Virginia to the late Ray V. Haga and the late Naomi F. (nee Oyler) Haga.  Glenna moved with her husband and children to Laurel, MD from WV in 1961.

Glenna was described by her children as a very modest woman who enjoyed day trips to Eastern Shore and the Beach as well as the Mountains of  West Virginia.  Glenna took an active role in raising her grandchildren and was referred to as MomMaw.

Mrs. Lawson was the wife of the late James T. Lawson.  She was the mother of Carol Lawson Coon of Laurel, MD and Buddy Lawson of Mechanicsville, MD.  Glenna was the grandmother of Michael Coon,  Kenneth Coon, Gary Coon and Josh Lawson.  She was also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A visitation for Glenna will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD,  where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 in the Chapel.  Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Burtonsville, MD.
