Gloria Marguerite Clark

Gloria Marguerite Clark, 88, beloved wife of Frank Clark passed away at her home on Saturday October 20th 2012 after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Gloria was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada to Rose and Alphonse Boutette. After high school she entered into the nurse certification program at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Windsor. Upon earning her registered nursing certification she began working as an RN in pediatrics and labor and delivery at Hotel Dieu Hospital. She then worked at Harper Hospital in Detroit in labor and delivery and med-surg. Later in her life she was employed as a registered psychiatric nurse at Laurel Regional Hospital and Cedar Knolls in Maryland.
Gloria spent many years raising her seven children and took a very active role caring for her grandchildren. During the time she was raising her family she studied at the University of Maryland and earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master's Degrees in Nursing. Prior to the onset of Alzheimer's disease her favorite activities included taking long walks in her West Laurel neighborhood and caring for her grandchildren. She was also a member of St. Mary's of the Mills Catholic Church in Laurel.
In addition to her husband Gloria is survived by her children Debbie McGee(Atlanta Ga.) , Doug (Atlanta Ga.), Pam Taylor, Jeff, Chris, Jeannine Hazen(Dallas TX), and Elaine Moore; brother Raymond(Windsor Ont.), sister Michelle(Naples Fla.); and grandchildren Rebecca, Carissa, Michael, Erin, Logan, Kristen, Oliver, Julia, and Sara.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 27th at 4 PM at New Hope Lutheran Church, 8575 Guilford Road, Columbia Maryland 21046. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Donaldson Funeral Home in Laurel Maryland.
