Gloria A. Wilmot of Adelphi, Maryland (born Gloria Henry in Saint Anne's Bay, Jamaica on May 16, 1933) passed away quietly without suffering in her sleep Wednesday evening, April 10, 2013 after a 19 year struggle due to complications from a stroke suffered in 1994. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald Wilmot; her Step Mother Edith Henry (of Ocho Rios Jamaica); 7 siblings (Ephraim, Arthur, Fay, Joy, Molly, Deryck, and Ruth); her daughter, Marcia (aka Joy); her three sons - Keith, Leroy, and Robert (aka Robb) and their wives Merle, Evadney (aka Diana), and Nancy respectively; and stepson Dudley. Gloria is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren as well as 5 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.
All services and visitation will be held at "The Little Church" on the grounds of the Fort Lincoln Cemetery on Thursday, April 18, 2013. The Viewing and Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM immediately followed by the funeral service and Interment.
To celebrate her life and honor her favorite color, visitors and funeral attendees are encouraged to wear something red to the service.
