Grace Elizabeth Adams of Laurel went to be with her Lord on December 18, 2023. Born on May 30, 1931, in a little mining town in western Md. Called Vindex Md. (not there anymore).
She was the daughter of Carrie and Harry Edwards. Grace lost her Husband Howard P. Adams in 1992, and her Daughter Patricia Lee Stivers in May 2023.
She is survived by her children. Her son Howard P. Adams Jr. (wife Maryann), and daughter Peggy Ruth Miller (husband Thomas), and Patricia's husband Ernest.
Six grandchildren, Kellie, Brain, Heather, Jeremy, David, Tina and ten great grandchildren and two adopted grandchildren, one sister Dorothy R Snipes of Chesapeake Va., Nieces, Nephew, and Cousins.
Grace had many jobs in her life, but the job she loved best was working as a baker/cook with the school system, but because of her health she had to retire after 18 years (on disability she also worked four years in Jessup Elem while living there). Grace was a member of the First Baptist church of Laurel. She loved the Lord, her church and Sunday school class. She was very active in her church. She worked with the 2nd grade children for over 16 years and worked as a greeter.
The Songs she liked are “In the Garden”, “How Great thou Art” and “Victory In Jesus”.
