Grace Darlene Miller

Grace Darlene Miller (Shumaker), longtime resident of Laurel/Spencerville area, passed away on February 18, 2025 at Medstar Montgomery Hospital in Olney, Maryland. She was 70 years old.

Darlene was born on March 29, 1954 to the late Dorothy and Jacob Shumaker Jr. and lived in Spencerville, MD. She worked at Medstar Montgomery Hospital for over 40 years as a surgical scheduling secretary and other important jobs within the hospital. Darlene loved her dogs and enjoyed walks to the park near her home. She loved her family and always made the holidays special with beautiful decorations and great meals.

Darlene is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Thomas Miller Jr., brothers Jacob and his wife Patsy, Nathan and his wife Kelley, sons Thomas and his wife Patricia, Timothy and his wife Gwen, grandchildren Austin, Garrett, TJ, Brittney, Ashlynn and AJ, Great Granddaughter Dakota.
