Gregory Thomas Barber, Sr.

On February 21, 2015, GREGORY THOMAS BARBER, of Laurel, MD, after a brief battle with Lymphoma, passed away. Born on April 22, 1958, Gregory was well known for his wonderful sense of humor, fascination with investigative research, love of sports and for his dedication in coaching both youth baseball and football. He was the beloved husband of Valencia Barber and devoted father of Alexandria Barber and Gregory Barber, Jr. Surviving him are his brother, Donald Barber and three sisters Stacey Jones-Speight, Marlena Jones, and Ellen Wallace. He is predeceased by his mother, June Jones; stepfather, Donald Jones; father, Donald Barber, Sr. and brother, Darrell Barber. Family and friends are invited to attend Gregory’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 28, at Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Ave. Laurel, MD 20707. Visitation will be at 12 noon and services will begin at 1:00 pm.
