Harold E. Basey

Harold (Hal) Eugene Basey, 83 of Laurel passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.
Hal was born on April 16, 1934 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of the late Artie & Cora Basey of Indiana. He is predeceased by his wife Pamela Jean Marie Basey. Hal is survived by his nieces Lexxi & Raychyl Segovia, Nephew Samuel Segovia, Jr., Sister-In-Law Carol Ann Segovia, Mother-In-Law Olga Mary Bennie, Uncles Richard & Ralph Bennie.
Hal spent his early life serving in the U.S. Army stationed in Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington D.C., and Germany. He was honorably discharged as a SP-3T. He worked until retirement from The National Arboretum in Washington, D.C. He enjoyed Bowling, Walking, The Outdoors, Home Cooked Meals especially Meatloaf & Mashed Potatoes and Pierogies, the Washington Redskins, and spending time with his loving family & friends.
The family will receive friends for a prayer service, at 12:30pm Saturday September 23, 2017 at St. Mary of the Mill's, 114 St. Mary's Place, Laurel, Maryland 20707.
