Harold C. Schwartz, Sr.

Harold Clifton Schwartz, Sr., a longtime resident of Prince George’s and Howard County passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was 78.  He was born on February 12, 1937 to the late Cleveland and Ruth Schwartz in Gaithersburg, MD where he was raised.  He was a successful business owner in the Glass and Glazing Industry where he began his career working at the age of 14 and retired at 65.  He was a member of the Glaziers Local 963 and Alcoholics Anonymous where he proudly celebrated 25 years of sobriety.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his two sons Charles and Harold Jr.  and a great-grandson Landon Clark Thamert.   Harold is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Nancy Schwartz; loving daughters Sherry Reamy and  Jim, and Kathy Schwartz and Lonnie; sister Margaret Schwartz; brother John Philip Schwartz; grandchildren Jamie and his wife Kristeen, Jessica, Christopher, Allen, Amanda, Kevin, Amber and her husband Sam; and great-grandchildren Jayden and Madison.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the DONALDSON FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL 313 Talbott Avenue from 11-12 noon where a memorial service will begin at 12 noon officiated by Allan Lewis, Harold’s brother-in-law.
