Born in Fries, Virginia, Helen was the youngest of the six children of Flora Ellen (McBride) and John Rector. Helen graduated from Laurel High School. She and George Hall Goldsborough of Denton were wed on December 6, 1941 at the First Methodist Church in Laurel. George died in January 1992, one month after their Golden Anniversary. Helen is survived by her son Thomas Alan and his wife Mindy, by son George Jr. (Buddy) and his partner Wil, by daughter Mary, and by grandson Zachary. May she rest in peace.
The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, Md. 20707 on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service on Sunday at the Donaldson Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM. Interment Ivy Hill Cemetery.
