Henry "Bud" Hollingsworth

Mr. Henry (Bud) Hollingsworth, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023, peacefully at Dove House, Westminster, MD with his wife and family by his side.

Born on October 27, 1933, in Palm Beach FL, Bud was the son of Horace (Jack) Hollingsworth and Hazel Culbreth.  They moved from FL to PA and then settled in MD when Bud was a young boy.

Bud served in the Army from 1956-1958 and then transferred to the Army Reserves until 1962.  He was awarded the Army Good Conduct Medal.  Bud was a heavy equipment operator for most of his working life.   He retired in 2003 at the age of 70.

Bud is a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge.  He also served as a deacon and the treasurer at Maryland City Baptist Church in Laurel, MD for 35 years.  Bud and Donna enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and Nascar.

Mr. Hollingsworth is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Donna M. Hollingsworth; his children, Peggy Allen of Laurel, MD; Sherri Breeden of Hanover, PA; Wilma (Joe) Herberson of Dover, PA; Steven Hollingsworth of Westminster, MD; Howard Lawson of Mt Airy, MD; brother, James Hollingsworth and sister, Carol Hollingsworth.  He is also survived by many Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Raymond Johns; former wife, Francis Hollingsworth; sister, Jackie Plogger and brother, Ronald Hollingsworth.

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel on Thursday, October 5 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Another viewing will be held at Maryland City Baptist Church, 326 Brock Bridge Road, Laurel on Friday from 11 to 11:30 AM when Mr. Hollingsworth Funeral Service will begin.
