Henry L. Michael

Henry Leroy Michael, age 88, of  Laurel, MD, passed away at his residence on November 26, 2015.  Henry was born on November 4, 1926 in West Virginia to the late Henry Michael and the late Dorothy (nee Courtney) Michael Unger.  Henry served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.  Henry retired from the D.C. Government in 1987.  He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as attending NASCAR races and Washington Redskins games.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post 66 in Bowie, MD.

Henry is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth “Libby” Michael.  He was preceded in death by his former spouses, Evelyn “Honey” Michael Kerns and Isabelle “Izzy” Shryock Michael, as well as siblings; Bernard Michael, Marie Wachter and Geraldine Michael, and also a grandson, Eugene Riley, II.

Henry is also survived by his children; daughter, Barbara Jean Lantz and her husband Frank; son, William Lee Michael and his wife Eileen; daughter, Karen Ann Przybyla and her husband Edward; and daughter, Vickie Lynn Deven and her husband William. He was also the loving grandfather of Traci Stevens, Bobby Stevens, David Deven and Christopher Michael as well as the great grandfather of Damon Stevens.
