Hollis Wesley Montgomery

Born Wednesday, November 10, 1926 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Charles Montgomery and Dora Montgomery.

As a young man he served in the United States Navy before being Honorably Discharged. He was employed as a master electrician by Federal Government. It was his work with the government that brought him to the Columbia, MD area.

Hollis was not just a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Scaggsville, MD for 51 years; he was also a Lay Leader and extremely active volunteer.

Being a Baltimore native, Hollis was a Baltimore Colts fan and then Ravens fan, but his passion was the Orioles. He was considered a Huge Orioles fan.

Surviving are sons, Stephen Montgomery of Columbia, MD and Craig Montgomery of Fayetteville, NC. Also survived by 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Emmanuel United Methodist Church Cemetery,
