Homer Bud Jones

Homer Leo Jones, "Bud", age 73, of Jessup, MD, died Monday, November 26, 2012, at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, MD.

Mr. Jones was born on November 20, 1939 in Olney, Illinois to the late Homer and Margret (nee Shine) Jones. Bud moved to Maryland in 1975 and worked as a heavy equipment operator for several quarries in the area, most recently working at Savage Stone. Bud spent several years in the Air Force and spoke often of his time serving in Alaska. Bud was active in several organizations in the area, especially the Laurel Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge of Annapolis and the American Legion Post 60 in Laurel. Bud was known for his singing voice and enjoyed singing karaoke.

Bud had three Sons; Kenneth A. Jones, Robert Dale Jones (deceased) and Sean Jones. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
