Ivan C. Merrill, Jr.

Ivan Claude Merrill Jr., 59, of Jessup, Maryland went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 29th, 2022. Born on April 17, 1963 to the late Nancy (Stamm) and Ivan Claude Merrill Sr. in Arcadia, Florida.

Ivan was a man of faith and loved his family with every ounce of his being.

He was a great story teller and took great pride in spreading the word of God. He’d talk as long as you’d listen. He was a family man who loved to fish. He enjoyed cooking for those he loved, almost as much as he enjoyed eating.  He was a pure joy to be around and had the most infectious laugh. He’d do anything for anyone, without reward.

Ivan will be dearly missed by the enormous family he leaves behind; his wife Jennifer Merrill; his three children, Dawn (Dana) Jordan, Amanda (Tac) Merrill and Ivan (Amber) Merrill; stepchildren, Ashlee and Kaylee Johnson; his siblings, Harlow (Alice) Stephenson, Bessie (Dave) Pippenger, Donald Stephenson, Bonnie (Wayne) Doornbos, Barney Merrill and Melba (Steve) O’Bryan. He is also survived by his 13 adoring grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

As Ivan lived so selflessly, so shall we.

Proverbs 25:21-22: If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you.
