Jacqueline "Jacki" Elaine Marshall

Jacqueline Elaine Marshall, 83, of Laurel, Maryland, passed away on November 14, 2022 due to kidney and heart failure.

Jacki was born on July 23, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa to Ed and Maxine Foulkes.

Jacki met Ron in high school. After high school, he proposed to her, she accepted. He enlisted into the US Air Force, they got married on the 27th of December 1958 and ended up at Fort Meade, Md in 1959. Ron worked 38 years at NSA after leaving the Air Force and becoming a civilian employee there.

Ron and Jacki had 2 children, Richard and Robert Marshall. Richard married Tammie and they had 4 children, Jennifer, Kriston, Amanda, and Richard Jr. Robert married Nadine, and they have one daughter, Crista.

Jacki was a stay at home mom and loved raising her two boys and then being a big part in the lives of their grandchildren. She was an avid reader, loved puzzles, word searches and was always knitting or crocheting something. Before covid times, she enjoyed sending hats, gloves, scarfs and lap blankets to schools and nursing homes. She had a real love of animals, especially cats.

Jacki and Ron were blessed with eight great grand kids; Joshua, Jacob, Jeremy, Madison, Hunter, Abel, Jonathan and Eden.

Jacki was predeceased in death by her husband, parents, and one great grandchild. She was an only child.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Laurel, MD  on November 18th at 1230.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Washington DC Children’s Hospital, an organization they felt strongly about.
