Jim is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Teresa Carlee Reynolds Maguire, and his parents James Francis Maguire and Anne Hayes Maguire. Jim graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Huntington, WV, earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Duquesne University, and served in the Army and Reserves. He lived in Laurel for the last 57 years and worked for the National Security Agency until retiring in 1993. Jim was a devout Catholic, a member of St. Mary of the Mills Catholic Church. He cherished lifelong friends from Rankin, PA, the Agency, and the neighborhood in Laurel. Jim and Teresa provided a strong example of love and family to all who knew them; they enjoyed spending time at their Cabin in Jersey Mills, PA. Family was more important to Jim than anything else in the world. He loved sharing coffee and conversation with his wife, children, grandchildren, friends, and family. Jim was known for his quick wit and storytelling, always with a twinkle in his eyes and whistling while he worked.
